For the TedTalk Project for English I wrote and presented my TedTalk. The topic for my TedTalk was about Parental Pressure and Stress. My call to action was that teens should educate their parents on the issue of parental pressure in order to avoid complications later in life. Parental Pressure is defined as the characteristics given off by parents to their children. Some symptoms teens give off because of parental pressure are negativity, rebellion, and failure. Ways to treat these symptoms are talking to your parents about their standards and reduce the amounts of stresses in your life. In conclusion, parental pressure is threatening to teens and can be avoided if both parents and teens are willing to talk about the dilemma. My TedTalk, about parental pressure and stress, was voted by my friends and classmates to be presented in front of the school on December 6th, 2016. At first I was nervous. I didn't want to present in front of the entire school. But I did. I did alright and so did my friends that also presented. We had a good time. I would do it again if I had the chance.
